| The Gold Rush - River Race! |
For all you James Bond fans that love and remember the wild boat pursuit along the rivers of Bangkok in 'The Man with the Golden Gun' then this is the event for you! Escape the congestion and traffic jams and dive into a world of barges, ferries and long-tail boats surrounded by historical landmarks along the River of Kings in Bangkok. The Gold Rush is similar to our well known Amazing Races except this event takes teams to locations along the river and canals! No taxis, no buses and no roads! Depending on your time restraint teams may visit: The Grande Palace, Floating Market, The Royal Barge National Museum, Temple of the Reclining Buddha an Orchid Farm and of course a very long snake at the Snake Farm!
Teams will face a series of challenges at each of these locations and will be awarded points based upon their success or completion of the tasks. These points will be calculated at the end of the event to assess which was the most successful team on the day. Long-tail boats are a type of watercraft native to Thailand and they use a common automotive engine as a readily available and maintainable propellant. These craft are designed to carry passengers at high speed along the river and include a lightweight long canoe hull, up to 30 meters, and a canopy. What better way is there to get acquainted with the local population, learn about their culture and traditions and what makes Bangkok so special, so unique, so mythical... than a long-tail boat team building event! Life jackets will be provided for all participants!
